In the context of the European Green Deal, announced in December 2019, the European Union has committed significant resources to promote clean and sustainable energy, with the aim of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. In line with these initiatives, this article explores the issues related to the transparency and security of Guarantees of Origin (GO) in the energy sector. It examines how the integration of blockchain technology by the Energy Services Manager (GSE) can address these issues, thus contributing to the goals of the European Green Deal and the transition towards a more sustainable and transparent energy economy
