Since the analysis of biological samples for doping control testing is not usually performed immediately after collection, knowledge about the stability of prohibited drugs in biological fluids during the transportation and storage period is of crucial importance to ensure that the potential instability of the analytes will not affect the analytical results. This is especially significant for those analytes that have threshold concentrations as positivity criteria.

Abstract

Since the analysis of biological samples for doping control testing is not usually performed immediately after collection, knowledge about the stability of prohibited drugs in biological fluids during the transportation and storage period is of crucial importance to ensure that the potential instability of the analytes will not affect the analytical results. This is especially significant for those analytes that have threshold concentrations as positivity criteria.
