This article explores Service Learning (SL) as a transformative pedagogical approach that integrates peace education, global citizenship, and sustainability within higher education. Through experiential learning and critical reflection, SL is presented as an educational tool aimed not only at developing professional and transversal skills, but also at promoting social justice and civic responsibility. The article highlights SL’s contribution to university education as an interdisciplinary and community-based experience that fosters both individual and collective well-being. It also emphasizes how transformative pedagogy serves as a theoretical framework linking SL with peace education, offering an educational model oriented toward personal and social change. The contribution aligns with UNESCO recommendations and global agendas for sustainable development, advocating for the institutionalization of SL as an innovative strategy for the renewal of higher education.
