Abstract
Accusations of heresy, made against Clement of Alexandria’s doctrine by Photius, cannot be accepted. Clement’s Christology, while giving prominence to the generation of the Logos, does not reject the human nature of Jesus. Eternal life, which was present in the Father, did not remained a transcendent reality, inaccessible to mankind, but it manifested its nature through the Logos, as Clement himself points out several times in his writings. In Clement’s thought, the manifestation of the Logos demonstrates that the Father and the Son are the same person.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
