Between 1955 and 1957, Piero Bottoni produced a series of drawings for a house in the hills north of Florence. This article reconstructs and explores the evolution of the never-built Villa Davoli project through the analysis of previously unpublished materials, emphasising the pivotal role of the landscape, with which Bottoni cultivated a continuous and defining connection.
