It is reported the first occurrence in Italy of the association between two allochthonous brackish species, Mytilopsis leucophaeata (Conrad, 1831) and Ficopomatus enigmaticus (Fauvel, 1923) in the Massaciuccoli hydrographic area near Viareggio (Lucca, Italy). The presence of Ficopomatus enigmaticus has been already reported for several Italian localities, while Mytilopsis leucophaeata has been found in Italy only in the Venetian Lagoon.
