The concept of rubble is often conceived in its physical sense, losing its metaphorical vision. Therefore, seems necessary to investigate the various meanings of the term and considering rubble also all those socio-demographic phenomena that today affect our country. Through the case study of the village of Ostana, the objective is to analyze, under the umbrella-concept of rubble, the totality of the processes concerning physical or conceptual regeneration through the active participation of citizens in the creation of more resilient and inclusive spaces, structures and communities.
