Abstract Lo scritto affronta il tema dell’utilizzo dell’idrogeno come fonte di energia a basso impatto ambientale, in particolare nel caso dell’idrogeno rinnovabile. Si concentra sui rischi associati all’idrogeno e sull’assicurazione come strumento che può consentire l’uso di questa fonte energetica in condizioni di sicurezza per utenti e produttori. Inoltre, le nuove tendenze nello sviluppo di obiettivi le gati all’economia circolare e di programmi di risparmio energetico aprono nuo ve prospettive sul ruolo degli Stati e dell’Unione Europea nel fornire supporto f inanziario alle imprese per sviluppare nuovi sistemi di energie rinnovabili, al f ine di promuovere la tutela ambientale e sostenere le economie. This paper addresses the issue of the use of hydrogen as a low environ mental impact energy source, especially in the case of renewable hydrogen. It focuses on the risks associated with hydrogen and insurance as a tool that may allow the development of this energy source in safety for users and producers. Moreover, the new trend in developing circular economy objectives and ener gy saving programmes open new perspectives about the role of the States and the European Union in providing financial support to enterprises to develop innovation and new systems of renewable energies to promote environmental protection and to support economies.
