The article identifies and analyses the typologiies of linguistic inventiveness in the productions intended for children, highlighting not only the creative complexity but also the sociolinguistical implications. The 2new" languages (magical languages and alien languages) and the real varieties (foreign languages and "wrong" languages), udes ti charactirize characters perceveid as "different", are in fact configured as strange languages that legitimize diversity.
