I nomi magici nella letteratura fantastica per bambine: il caso delle Winx

The article analyzes the names of magical creatures and places in the series of cartoons 'Winx', a fairystory produced in Italy but distributed all over the world. The forms of names it could be grouped into four categories (transparent names, mythological /esoteric names, names alluding to the symbolic value of the sounds, and probable names) for which there is a considerable discrepancy between the level of culture is necessary to understand the mechanisms allusive and the target to which the product is intended . Same consideration also with regard to the massive presence of foreign words (primarily English forms, but also Latin and Greek forms ). In this regard it seems that the reasons of choice of English forms not related to marketing but, rather, to passion of the English language of the last decades.
