This study explores the use of Fast Field-Cycling (FFC) NMR Relaxometry to investigate the molecular dynamics and relaxivity of paramagnetic gadolinium (Gd)-based complexes used as MRI contrast agents. A new graphical fitting software is being developed to facilitate the analysis of relaxation profiles from proteins. As a case study, human transthyretin (TTR) was tagged with the Gd-C4-IA complex to evaluate its potential as a theranostic agent. The results demonstrate a significant enhancement in relaxivity for the GdTTR conjugates, highlighting their promise for combined diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Abstract
This study explores the use of Fast Field-Cycling (FFC) NMR Relaxometry to investigate the molecular dynamics and relaxivity of paramagnetic gadolinium (Gd)-based complexes used as MRI contrast agents. A new graphical fitting software is being developed to facilitate the analysis of relaxation profiles from proteins. As a case study, human transthyretin (TTR) was tagged with the Gd-C4-IA complex to evaluate its potential as a theranostic agent. The results demonstrate a significant enhancement in relaxivity for the GdTTR conjugates, highlighting their promise for combined diagnostic and therapeutic applications.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
