The chapter shares the results of pilot projects developed in the framework of Med-EcoSuRe project (Mediterranean University as Catalyst for Eco-Sustainable Renovation), demonstrating the challenge to implement innovative and eco-sustainable energy renovation process and solutions for university buildings in the Mediterranean, while introducing an active collaborating approach among key actors involved for decision support. Framed in the common Living Lab methodology for the development of innovative renovation projects, the Med-EcoSuRe project foresaw the testing in three pilot projects, realized in Palestine, Tunisia, and Italy. The project strived to foster the added value of the cooperation and exchange occurring in the Med-EcoSuRe Mediterranean cross-border Living Lab “Med beXLive,” connecting an excellence network of experts in the field of renovation of Mediterranean public buildings, as well as of the upside of the local experience of the pilot projects and Living Lab developed in the three universities.

Abstract
The project strived to foster the added value of the cooperation and exchange occurring in the Med-EcoSuRe Mediterranean cross-border Living Lab “Med beXLive,” connecting an excellence network of experts in the field of renovation of Mediterranean public buildings, as well as of the upside of the local experience of the pilot projects and Living Lab developed in the three universities.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
