This work presents the main results of axisymmetric finite element analysis on the thermo–hydro–mechanical behavior of an elementary unit of an ideal foundation raft laying on saturated, lightly overconsolidated clay, and equipped with energy micropiles for settlements control. The micropiles are subjected to mechanical as well as to cyclic thermal loading conditions. The soil behavior under such operating conditions is described by using an existing advanced hypoplastic model for clays. Some results are presented and discussed.
