A two stage study on a lacustrine silty caly slope, subject to landslide, located at Fagna (Mugello, Italy), is reported. The results of stage I, carried out from 1978-1982, concerning geomorphologic, climatic and geotechnical aspects are summarized. the results of the second stage (1982 - to august 1986) refer to the modellng of the slope, tile drainage system, and land shift markers. The two stages are then compared as regards the functionng of the efficiency of the drainage system in relation to the stabilization of drained and undrained sectors of the slope.

Abstract
