Abstract

The volume, which is the outcome of a study day held in honour of the centenary of the death of the Bohemian writer Franz Kafka, comprises contributions from professors, researchers, post-docs and doctoral students in the field of German literature and linguistics. The papers encompass a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from the translation and edition of translated works to literature in various forms of production and reception, to the biopic and the analysis of linguistic peculiarities in narrative works. Intended as a meeting point between the different souls of German studies, Kafka: lingua, testi, intetertesti aims to offer a reflection on the possibilities for scientific exchange between philological-translation studies, literary, linguistic and intermedial perspectives, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and the sharing of knowledge, without altering the theoretical-methodological and stylistic specificities that distinguish the individual disciplines within German studies.
