The paper presents the results of the research project 3D Sebenico, co-funded by the Veneto Region as part of the programme for the recovery, conservation, and enhancement of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Venice in Istria, Dalmatia, and the Mediterranean area. Aimed at the study, preservation, and promotion of Venetian fortification heritage in the Dalmatian region of Šibenik, the project surveys and analyses the material remains of Venetian fortresses. Using digital technologies for documentation, it establishes databases and narrative frameworks for the systematic representation of this landscape. The analysis of historical sources, combined with 3D surveys, uncovers novel aspects related to the history of this territory and its cultural ties with the Venetian capital. These findings are documented in an atlas of fortresses, which details their morphometric, technological, and construction characteristics, laying the groundwork for further studies and initiatives to conserve these structures. Examples of this rich cultural mosaic include the walls of Oštrica and Mandalina, the castles of Vrpolje and Jadrtovac - Castel Andreis, the fortified village of Rakitnica, and the majestic fortress of St. Nicholas, a symbol of Venetian military presence guarding the entrance to the Šibenik Bay.
