This essay aims to investigate the radical need for social metamorphosis channeled into the mutual aid experiences that emerged during the pandemic. After identifying the main differences between charitable or welfarist forms of direct social action and mutualist experiences, I will examine their varying political degrees in relation to the "radical need for social metamorphosis", i.e., the possible common desire to radically transform society. Next, I will attempt to provide a conceptual map of the most radical mutual aid experiences that are attempting to transform society from within the workplace.
