Una "combinación eficaz": humor y fantástico en los microrrelatos de José María Merino

Este artículo pretende indagar las diferentes realizaciones de la combinación de humor y fantástico en los microrrelatos de José María Merino, autor de referencia en la literatura de lo insólito y en la narrativa breve. Después de sentar las bases teóricas tocantes a humor, fantástico y microrrelato, el análisis se desarrollará siguiendo tres líneas de investigación: el uso de humor y fantástico para la crítica social, la reformulación de motivos fantásticos y la parodia del monstruo. Se evidenciará, por lo tanto, qué tipos de humor Merino usa junto a lo fantástico, cuál es su objetivo y cómo se configura esta hibridación en sus narraciones hiperbreves. This article explores the various ways in which humour and the fantastic are combined in the flash fictions written by José María Merino, a key figure in the literature of the unusual and in short narrative forms. After establishing the theoretical bases regard-ing humour, the fantastic and flash fiction, the analysis will follow three lines of investigation: the use of humour and the fantastic as tools for social critique, the reworking of fantastic motifs and the parody of the monster. Thus, we will highlight the types of humour Merino employs alongside the fantastic, his purpose and how this hybridisa-tion is constructed in his ultra-short narratives.
