The first critical edition of more than 1100 poetic texts set to music by 14th- and early 15th-century polyphonists, underway as part of the ERC Advanced Grant ArsNova project, has made it possible to specify the corpus of madrigals with multiple refrains interposed in the body of the text after each tercet, and to define their formal characteristics. The article also offers the critical edition of eight madrigals (poetic text and musical text).

Abstract
The first critical edition of more than 1100 poetic texts set to music by 14th- and early 15th-century polyphonists, underway as part of the ERC Advanced Grant ArsNova project, has made it possible to specify the corpus of madrigals with multiple refrains interposed in the body of the text after each tercet, and to define their formal characteristics. The article also offers the critical edition of eight madrigals (poetic text and musical text).File in questo prodotto:
