Siti archeologici ‘restarters’: Il sistema culturale integrato come mezzo per favorire lo sviluppo sostenibile delle comunità locali delle aree interne toscane

The RESTART project is promoted by the UNIFI group within Spoke 8 of PE05_CHANGES: Cultural Heritage Innovation for Next-Gen Sustainable Society, and aims to develop Guidelines for the enhancement of archaeological areas in the inner areas of Tuscany. The RESTART research project proposes a holistic and multidisciplinary design approach based on the activation of synergies and connections between the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the territory, with the aim of creating an “integrated cultural system” centered around an archaeological site as its core hub. The goal is to integrate the tangible and intangible components of cultural heritage to initiate processes of regeneration of the cultural system through community involvement and the integration of local productive and artisanal realities.
