The contribution presents the operational framework of an ecological restoration project of an urban reach of the Arno River in Florence, developed within the framework of the National Biodiversity Future Center. Using an interdisciplinary approach, the study integrates Nature-Based Solutions and Sustainable Drainage Systems to enhance biodiversity, improve water quality, and increase climate resilience, while also reducing flood risk in the urban context.
