This paper examines how digital platforms achieve readiness and scalability in complex business ecosystems through a case study of Dassault Systèmes and its 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Building on digital service innovation and platform ecosystem literature, it highlights scalability as a co-evolutionary process involving technologies, governance, and stakeholder engagement. Using a qualitative, longitudinal case, the study shows how coordinated interactions among platform owners, partners, and users enhance customer and ecosystem readiness. The findings emphasize the role of ecosystem orchestration, dynamic capabilities, and less visible emergence mechanisms in enabling sustainable platform growth, offering contributions and insights for industrial firms pursuing multi-platform digital transformation.
