A sewage-sludge biochar (SS-BC) was tested for the first time as a low-cost d-SPE clean-up sorbent in QuEChERS extracts of rocket, tomato, and strawberry. It reduced matrix effects and performed especially well for PFAS, showing potential as a sustainable alternative to commercial sorbents like GCB.
