DC Smart Grids with direct connection to AC distribution network are at early research stage. Hardware architectures are still controversial for high power and high voltage applications. Today multiple options of bus voltage levels are available, but standardization is far to be achieved. In this paper a multi-DC- bus power conversion stage is proposed. Different double- stage solutions for integration of PV systems into AC power system are presented and discussed. Several PV input voltages are considered. Parameters design is discussed tackling interactions between the DC/DC power conversion stage and the DC/AC power conversion stage operating as interlink converter with the MV AC network. Performance analysis in terms of efficiency and power quality is presented.
