Introduction to the Special Issue: In Memoriam Professor Daniel Barbu

This article introduces the special issue dedicated to the memory of Professor Daniel Barbu, which includes contributions by his former students and colleagues. The articles regrouped in this issue discuss the multiple intellectual accomplishments of Daniel Barbu as an art historian, political scientist, political thinker and theologian. These different perspectives on Barbu’s thought begin to touch on the breadth of his intellectual pursuits throughout his more than forty years of career in several disciplines of the humanities and social sciences.
