La Bibbia nella Slavia medievale: riflessioni a margine dell'edizione della Bibbia di Gennadij (ms Moskva, GIM, Sinod. N° 915)

With the occasion of the publication of the Gennady's Bible phototypic edition, carried out by the Moscow Sretensky Monastery and the State Historical Museum in 2019-2015, the paper focuses on some central questions relating the compilation of the first complete Bible in Church Slavonic accomplished by a group of philologists-translators in Novgorod in the late XV century. Particular attention is devoted to the importance of codicological aspects of manuscript tradition in order to understand the circumstances of the Bible translation and the manner of its transmission.
