Le cave nascoste del Comprensorio aversano

L'articolo illustra le caratteristiche delle antiche cave tufacee ipogee dell'Agro Aversano (provincia di Caserta), la loro tecnica di realizzazione, le procedure estrattive dei materiali inerti (pietre, lapilli, pozzolana) e l'impiego dei locali sotterranei, generati a seguito dello scavo, per la conservazione e l'invecchiamento del vino e di altri prodotti agricoli. This article illustrates the characteristics of the ancient underground tuff quarries of the Agro Aversano (Caserta province), their construction techniques, the extraction procedures for inert materials (stone, lapilli, pozzolana), and the use of the underground spaces created by the excavation for the storage and aging of wine and other agricultural products.
