The design for this chapel on the Austrian peaks offers an important insight into the career of the Swiss architect. With this project, Mario Botta seems to bring to the attention of history a synthesis of his own research, where a deep understanding of the laws of harmony and matter becomes the very substance of the design, in a unique journey towards the emancipation of architecture as a form of art.
