The documents of pakysis son of pakysis son of herieus: a two-generation archive from second-century soknopaiou nesos

Presented here is a reconstruction of the two-generation archive of Pakysis son of Pakysis son of Herieus (Soknopaiou Nesos, from AD 92–93 to 148). Three aspects are addressed in the paper. Firstly, the archival corpus is established on prosopographical grounds and by investigating their “museum archaeology”. Subsequently, after offering a socio-economic overview of the family, I provide the editio princeps of an unpublished papyrus and revaluate some editions of documents from the archive.
