Sull’antica esegesi fiorentina e su uno sconosciuto commento alla ‘Commedia’ nella Firenze di Boccaccio: le ‘Chiose Magliabechiane’

L’articolo presenta uno sconosciuto commento alla Commedia, che si conserva autografo nel ms. Firenze, Bibl. Nazionale Centrale, II IV 246, realizzato a Firenze intorno agli anni Settanta-Ottanta del Trecento, nel quale confluiscono materiali preesistenti, almeno in parte da attribuirsi a un frate domenicano. Tra le caratteristiche dell’apparato esegetico (di cui si lumeggiano il rapporto con l’esegesi pregressa e le connessioni con l’ambiente fiorentino) spiccano l’interpretazione allegorico-morale proposta, l’impiego caratterizzante delle fonti bibliche e teologiche, le citazioni da Boccaccio e da Petrarca, l’attenzione alla varia lectio. The article presents an unknown commentary on the ‘Commedia’, preserved in autograph form in the National Library in Florence (ms. Firenze, Bibl. Nazionale Centrale, II IV 246). The manuscript was composed in Florence around the 1370s-1380s and brings together pre-existing material, at least in part attributable to a Dominican friar. Firstly, the article highlights the relationship of the new manuscript with the previous exegesis and its connections with the Florentine milieu. Then, the specific aspects of this new commentary are also discussed: the allegorical-moral interpretation proposed, the characteristic use of biblical and theological sources, quotations from Boccaccio and Petrarca, and the attention to the ‘varia lectio’.
