The paper analyses the decision of the Appellate Panel of the Constitutional Court – the “domestic judge” of the Court – dated October 9, 2025, No. 1/A, about pension payments of the Court’s employees. The ruling provides an update on constitutional bodies’ prerogatives, dealing with the power of self-regulation, expression of the autonomy of constitutional bodies, in its relationship with the further prerogative of self-jurisdiction. The main issue is the application of the rules concerning state public employment to the Constitutional Court’s employees, which is excluded, or permitted, according to the recognition of the constitutional body’s power to independently regulate its own internal affairs.
