The judicialization of several issues, particularly those related to politics, together with international tensions that have led to conflicts in different regions, calls for a deep reflection on the role of Law in contemporary society. Only through a strong theoretical foundation is it possible to understand how Law can respond to fundamental questions concerning social order.
