In the Middle Ages, roofing systems played a decisive role in shaping sacred architecture, affecting spatial organisation, structural behaviour and external form. This paper is part of the European Cataloguing Medieval Roofs (CaMeRoofs) project, which investigates medieval roofing systems in the Veneto through interdisciplinary and digital approaches. It focuses on the Mendicant churches of Santa Coro- na and San Lorenzo in Vicenza, among the earliest to adopt Gothic rib vaults in the region. Combining historical-architectural analysis with high-resolution 3D laser-scanner survey, the study highlights the importance of roofing systems in the transmission of Gothic architecture within Mendicant contexts.
