The accumulation of misfolded transactive response DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) in the brain is a hallmark of several neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). This project aims to investigate the factors influencing the kinetics of aggregation of the C-terminal domain of TDP-43 (CTD-TDP-43). In particular, we will examine the effect of the small molecule ANLE138b1 on the aggregation process.
