A normative-stepped incremental time-history dynamic analysis is performed on a school building with reinforced concrete (RC) structure to carefully evaluate the response of masonry infill and partition panels. The results of the analysis are discussed in terms of damage levels and further elaborated in terms of fragility curves of the panels. The study highlights the opportunity to systematically extend the assessment analysis of existing RC infilled buildings to an intermediate seismic hazard level, in addition to the two levels⸺with 63% and 10% probabilities of being exceeded over the reference structural lifespan⸺mandatorily imposed by current Italian Standards.
