In Italy, academic achievement and university enrollment are strongly influ- enced by socioeconomic status (ESCS). However, despite these disadvantages, a subset of Low ESCS students demonstrates academic resilience by attaining high academic performance and continuing their education. This study explores the factors contributing to such resilience, with a focus on regional and school-type influences, through a multinomial modelling approach that jointly considers high school performance and university enrollment decisions.

Abstract
In Italy, academic achievement and university enrollment are strongly influ- enced by socioeconomic status (ESCS). However, despite these disadvantages, a subset of Low ESCS students demonstrates academic resilience by attaining high academic performance and continuing their education. This study explores the factors contributing to such resilience, with a focus on regional and school-type influences, through a multinomial modelling approach that jointly considers high school performance and university enrollment decisions.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
