Abstract
In order to investigate aspects concerning the role of pore water pressures in the stability of a stream bank, a series of transducers have been installed in a bank of the Sieve River (Tuscany, Central Italy). Fluctuations in matrix suction as a result of rainfall, rising and drawdown of the water stage, variations in the water table and capillary fringe during a single flow event are discussed.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
