Sun orientation was analysed in sandhoppers of different ages and with different experience, from the natural environment or laboratory. The learning of a new direction, different from the inherited one, was demonstrated experimentally by forcing the individuals to move towards a determined direction. Thus phenotypic plasticity was shown in the tested population that had a well determined inherited direction finding.

Abstract
Sun orientation was analysed in sandhoppers of different ages and with different experience, from the natural environment or laboratory. The learning of a new direction, different from the inherited one, was demonstrated experimentally by forcing the individuals to move towards a determined direction. Thus phenotypic plasticity was shown in the tested population that had a well determined inherited direction finding.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
