Abstract

Existing building and their retrofitting provides by a largest potential incorporation of renewable energy, technologies and afficiency measures into buildings. Within mani European countries there is a considerable higher activity in retrofitting buildings, than in constructing new ones. Goals of the work are: - to improve the energy knowledge in the existing buildings - to develop a practical assistance and guidelines to improve the undesrtanding and knowledg on the building energy behaviour - to define the methodology of approach in the analysis of the existing buildings to assist designer for the better integration of recent research results on passive solar and energy efficnet technologies.
