The aim of the conference was to promote the development of the citizens' urban environment from a global, innovative and resource-saving viewpoint, in an environmentally sound manner, using advanced models of organization which bring together the improvement of quality of life, the restoration of social equilibrium and the protection of cultural heritage. It will bring together urban policy-makers and planners, representatives of local authorities, municipal utilities, social and economic actors from the building sector and those involved in energy production and consumption. In detail the paper show a new approach to the energy analysis applied to a case study in Italy.
