Abstract

Multiuser detection in severe multi-path fading environment is still under investigation. In this paper we propose a new receiver for up-link W-CDMA, combining narrowband sub-coding and adaptive antenna theory. Results are compared to the classic RAKE receiver with omnidirectional antenna and they demonstrate how to significantly improve the receiver's performance in terms of BER and algorithm complexity.
