An efficient finite element formulation for the valuation of the radiation from arbitrarily oriented slots and dipoles in vicinity of a cilindrical structure is described. The structure can have arbitrary materials and cross-section geometry. The three-dimensional problem is reduced to a spectrum of bi-dimensional problems by a Fourier transformation along the cylinder axis. Results for the scattering by a leaky wave antenna formed by using an asymmetric trough guide and the influence of a dielectric radome are presented.

Abstract
An efficient finite element formulation for the valuation of the radiation from arbitrarily oriented slots and dipoles in vicinity of a cilindrical structure is described. The structure can have arbitrary materials and cross-section geometry. The three-dimensional problem is reduced to a spectrum of bi-dimensional problems by a Fourier transformation along the cylinder axis. Results for the scattering by a leaky wave antenna formed by using an asymmetric trough guide and the influence of a dielectric radome are presented.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
