Abstract

The existence of nonoscillatory solutions with prescribed asymptotic behavior is studied for a nonlinear system of two coupled second order nonlinear equations. A general existence theorem for functional boundary value problems, stated by the authors in [Adv. Differ. Equ. 2006, Article ID 31283, Pages 1–14 DOI 10.1155/ADE/2006/31283], is employed and the main advantages of this approach are illustrated.
