This paper focuses on location and dispersion effects in off-line quality control techniques. We investigate the relevance of alternative statistical methods with respect to Taguchi's parameter design. Specifically, we investigate the Combined Array technique and Generalized Linear Models. We also take account of a simple technique for the identification of location and dispersion effect in unreplicated designs. In addition, a real application is presented that compares the three different methods.

Abstract
This paper focuses on location and dispersion effects in off-line quality control techniques. We investigate the relevance of alternative statistical methods with respect to Taguchi's parameter design. Specifically, we investigate the Combined Array technique and Generalized Linear Models. We also take account of a simple technique for the identification of location and dispersion effect in unreplicated designs. In addition, a real application is presented that compares the three different methods.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
