Experimental evidence is reported on bound multiphonon states in crystal N20. In the region of 3w3 (~ 6600-6800 cm -1 ) and w1 + w2 + w3 (~-- 4050-4200 cm -l) vibrational transitions, excitations corresponding to free and localized phonon states are observed. Renormalized phonon densities are calculated in agreement with experimental data
