We have recorded the molecular beam, fluorescence excitation spectra for the 0(0)(0), 6a(0)(1), I-0(2), and 1(0)(1), rovibronic bands of the S-1 (B-1(2)) <-- S-0 ((1)A(1)) electronic transition in aniline at a resolution of 0.0005 cm(-1). The observed transitions were fit to a rigid-rotor Hamiltonian, and accurate rotational constants were obtained for each band.

Abstract

We have recorded the molecular beam, fluorescence excitation spectra for the 0(0)(0), 6a(0)(1), I-0(2), and 1(0)(1), rovibronic bands of the S-1 (B-1(2)) <-- S-0 ((1)A(1)) electronic transition in aniline at a resolution of 0.0005 cm(-1). The observed transitions were fit to a rigid-rotor Hamiltonian, and accurate rotational constants were obtained for each band.
