A vegetation survey of the Natural Reserve <<Sasso di Simone>> was earned out by means of 44 phytosociolocical relevés and of literature data analyses. The survey led to the recognition of several vegetation types: rock-face communities, talus slope and badland colonizing vegetation; igrophilous coenoses; xeric and mesic grasslands; shrublands: different types of woods, some of which referred to the Tilio-Acerion. Finally some considerations about vegetation dynamics are expressed.
