In this study two different approaches were used for the simulation of grapevine downy mildew. A mechanistic model (PLASMO) was developed by the collaboration of several research institutions of Florence. A similar structure of downy mildew biological cycle was used for the other approach, but in this case the simulation model was based on fuzzy techniques.
