The thermal behaviour and phase changes of beta-cyclodextrin were investigated using thermogravimetric and thermomechanic analyses, differential scanning calorimetry, and X-ray powder diffraction. A correspondence with the temperature values of thermal and mechanical effects was found for the anhydrous beta-cyclodextrin, with no detectable structural changes.
