In the last years many devastatirÌg windstorms occuned in the central Europe have highlighted the vulnerability of our forest. Wood haflesting in mountain areas is often particularly difiicult, due to tenain morphology. Cableways arc in these circumstances the best choice, and the couple cableway plus processors becoming more and more frequent in ltalian Alps.
